- In Game 3 of the Finals, Great Taste Coffee, like in the first two games, zoom to a big lead and dominate the game from start to finish, starting the 4th period, with the score standing only at 80-75, a 16-4 run by the coffeemakers open up a 17-point deficit at 96-79 and looks coasting for an easy win and victory celebration, until the coffee kings, behind the blazing hands of Bogs Adornado and Ludovico "Naning" Valenciano, suddenly trim down the lead to a single margin, with the score at 107-99 in favor of Great Taste, Naning Valenciano drained a trey to cut the lead to five, at 109-102, timeout by Hills Bros, Valenciano scored a triple and its down to four at 109-105, a steal by the coffee kings resulted to another three-point shot by Naning Valenciano as Hills Bros. close to gap to only one, 109-108, no timeouts for Great Taste and Abe King was fouled with 4 seconds left in the game, King missed both free throws and as they race down the court the ball went into the hands of Coffee King' Ponky Alolor, who was caught as the buzzer sounded, even before he took off for a shot. Great taste celebrates its fifth championship and third All-Filipino crown in a classic down-the-wire finish.
